SHELTER ME

I know. It's been FOREVER since I posted on my blog.

One thousand apologies...no excuses.

I felt compelled to post something. Today is my beautiful Mother's birthday. She would have been 83 yrs young. Her zeal for life was contagious to all who knew her. She is greatly missed.

As I went through this day with memories of Mother in my heart, I was filled with a great sense of gratitude...

~grateful to God for her selfless, unconditional love

~grateful for her moxie

~grateful for her sense of humor

~grateful for her zest for life

~grateful for her strength

~grateful for her positive attitude

~grateful for her love for my Daddy

~grateful for her...period.

I have a dear friend who is going through the difficult process of watching her Dad slowly slip away, something she is all too familiar with, as she did this not so long ago with her Mother. Today I thought of her...and of my own journey of losing my beloved parents. The video in this post is for my friend.

It's for me.

It's for you.

It's for everyone who needs Comfort. Encouragement. Hope. The promise of help through the storm. Whatever your storm may be - rest in the "shelter of HIS love."
